Basic Beliefs

What we believe about...

The Bible: God’s word to mankind; totally perfect and reliable, our only trustworthy spiritual guide.

God: The Creator of all things; awesome and infinite, totally worthy of being worshiped.

Mankind: God’s special creation; made in God’s image but rebelled against God’s moral standard,
damaging the relationship we have with God.

Jesus: the Son of God who became one of us, going to the cross to pay the penalty of our rebellion
because of His love for us.

Faith: what God requires of us to be reconciled to Him; believing that we cannot earn heaven by our own good deeds,
but through the death of Jesus for us.

Church: the community of believers, united by belief in Jesus our Savior; gathered together to worship God,
to tell others about Jesus, and to love each other as Jesus loves us.
