Awana is a global, nonprofit para-church ministry committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love, and serve God. Taken from 2 Timothy 2:15, Awana stands for Aproved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.
Grace Church has incorporated a vibrant Awana ministry for more than 30 years. Our chapter integrates with the purpose and mission of the local body of Christ at Grace Church by providing Bible instruction, memorization, and activities for its children from pre-school to 5th grade. Awana at Grace ministers not only to our own families, but also reaches out to families in other churches as well as unchurched families in the Greeley area. We also provide many resources to help parents bring the same study and excitement of Awana into the home and help them guide and nurture their children in their walk with Christ Jesus.
Our goal is to see all Awana at Grace children and families come to know, love, and serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Since its inception over 60 years ago, Awana is making an impact. A recent national survey found Awana to be as important to our alumni's spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined. Nationwide, among alumni who participated in Awana for at least six years, 92.7 percent still attend church at least weekly as adults. It is our prayer that all children in Awana at Grace will grow to be unashamed of what they have learned about God, Christ, and the Gospel, and that they are equipped and eager to share it with their family, friends, and classmates.
We look forward to seeing your family join us in Awana at Grace!
